Cadu's books transform curiosity into learning and learning into action. Two educational missions — Ocean and Zero Waste — combine real experiences, family participation, creativity and practical activities to help children understand environmental challenges and discover ways to act.
BOOKS CREATED TO BE EXPERIENCED
The collection is organized around two educational missions. Missão Oceano explores ocean challenges and possible solutions, while Missão Lixo Zero introduces the principles of sustainability, conscious consumption, recycling and circular economy. Each mission is accompanied by a creative activity book.
Missão Oceano
Missão Oceano introduces children and families to major challenges facing marine environments: plastic pollution, coral bleaching, ghost fishing nets, overfishing, ocean acidification, blue carbon, habitat destruction, protected areas, marine animals in captivity, aquariums and the essential role of plankton.
Inspired by experiences lived by Cadu, the book connects each problem with possible solutions. The goal is to show that science, everyday choices and collective action can make a real difference.
Each chapter is accompanied by activities designed to be completed with parents. At the end of the journey, the child receives the Herói do Oceano certificate from a parent or responsible adult — turning the conclusion of the book into a family moment of recognition.
PROFESSOR TURRA
A KEY CHARACTER IN CADU'S OCEAN JOURNEY
Professor Alexander Turra has an important role inside Missão Oceano. He represents the scientific perspective that helps transform Cadu's curiosity into understanding. Throughout the journey, the interaction between Cadu and the Professor helps explain why ocean problems matter and how science can help us search for better solutions.
Cadu represents the questions, discoveries and perspective of a young explorer, while Professor Turra connects those discoveries with knowledge, research and environmental responsibility.
ARTISTA E HERÓI DO OCEANO
The companion art book expands the learning experience through drawing, coloring, observation and facts about threatened marine animals.
Artista e Herói do Oceano
Artista e Herói do Oceano complements Missão Oceano with a more creative, hands-on experience. Children learn about marine animals threatened with extinction while interacting with illustrations, coloring pages and accessible facts.
The book introduces animals such as blue whales, dolphins, sea turtles, rays, sawfish and different shark species, connecting art with curiosity and environmental awareness.
When children draw, color and interact with what they are learning, the subject becomes more memorable. Art becomes another way to build an emotional connection with the ocean and the animals that depend on it.
MISSÃO LIXO ZERO
A family learning journey about rethinking consumption, reducing waste, recycling, circular economy and the people who turn sustainability into real action.
Missão Lixo Zero
Missão Lixo Zero guides children and families through practical principles of sustainability. The journey starts with the R's — rethink, refuse, reduce, reuse and recycle — and expands into conscious consumption, energy and resources, creative reuse, waste separation and appreciation for the people who work with recycling.
The book then moves from individual choices to collective action, including a school mission with clean-up activities, posters and planting, followed by a chapter on circular economy developed around Green Mining. It also introduces sustainability heroes whose real-world work helps show children that environmental change is built by people and communities.
Each chapter includes tasks to be completed with parents, friends or teachers. The journey ends with the Herói da Sustentabilidade certificate, reinforcing the idea that learning becomes stronger when it is practiced and shared.
ART & SUSTAINABILITY
The companion art book extends Missão Lixo Zero through creative activities, giving children another way to explore environmental ideas with their hands and imagination.

The creative companion to Missão Lixo Zero transforms the themes of the main book into a more visual and hands-on experience. Through art-based activities, children can revisit ideas such as waste reduction, reuse, recycling and environmental responsibility.
Together, the two books create a complete learning cycle: understand the topic, discuss it with the family, carry out practical activities and express the learning creatively.
The art book gives children a second path into the same ideas: first understanding sustainability, then expressing it through creativity and participation.
